Dual Fuel Technology

American Power Group’s Dual Fuel Technology provides diesel engine owners substantial fuel savings and reduced greenhouse gas emissions while retaining diesel power and torque performance – all with the option of returning to diesel-only operation at any time.

American Power Group’s Dual Fuel Technology

Commonly used in heavy duty diesel engines for:

With APG’s Dual Fuel Technology, the diesel fuel is injected into the engine cylinders, while the secondary fuel is added into the intake air stream. The APG Engine Control Module (ECM) determines the amount of each fuel to use based on various factors, such as engine load and speed, to optimize engine performance.

The patented, aftermarket Dual Fuel Technology developed by APG does not compromise the integrity of the original diesel engine from the manufacturer. The upgrade process can be done without engine modifications, has no negative effect on engine wear rates and durability and does not affect the engine manufacturers’ warranties.

APG’s Dual Fuel System has met specific anti-tampering design, componentry and emission compliance criteria and guidelines as set forth by CARB and the EPA, including EPA Clean Alternative Fuel Vehicle Conversion regulations.
